I owned a typesetting and graphic design company throughout the 1980s. In the early 1990s I attended Oregon College of Art & Craft in their Book Arts program, made a lot of paper, set up a letterpress studio, and began publishing Book Arts Classified. I am the former executive director of the non-profit publisher Hand Papermaking, Inc., where I worked for 22 years. A long-time member of NAPM(FDH) and IAPMA, I now make paper and paper moulds in my Maryland basement studio.
